Meningkatkan Daya Tahan Dan Psikologi Wanita (MATAHARI)

Introduction
The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a significant increase in various mental health issues, particularly those affecting women. This crisis has created substantial challenges in daily life, which in turn have adversely affected both physical and psychological well-being. Prolonged and ongoing conflicts arising from these circumstances have resulted in emotional vulnerability and disrupted personal well-being, especially among women. Accordingly, the Department of Women’s Development (JPW) recognises the importance of strengthening advocacy efforts in empowerment and mental health to build resilience and coping capacity in addressing a wide range of challenges. The Matahari Programme is therefore particularly important for women, as it enables them to learn psychological strategies that foster strong internal and external resilience, adaptability, and dynamism in responding to change, so that they are less susceptible to being adversely influenced by difficult situations or unforeseen adversities.
